PanchaBhoota Linga Kshetram's

All this universe (living beings and non-living beings) is made of five basic elements - FIRE, EARTH, WATER, AIR and SKY.

RUDRAM describes Lord Siva as the one who is filled completely in this universe and beyond it as well.

"Panchabhoota linga" are the abodes of Lord Siva - each of which represents the TATTVA of Lord Siva with respect to one basic element each.

ARUNACHALAM - Lord Arunachaleswara in Tiruvannamalai (Tamilnadu) is AGNI (FIRE) LINGA. Though Lord is seen as a LINGA to naked eye, the sanctum sanctorum as well as Arunachala hill emanate heat (JYOTHI SWAROOPAM) continuously. Mother Goddess is ApeethaKuchambal.

KANCHEEPURAM - Lord Ekamranathar in Kanchi (Tamilnadu) is EARTH LINGA. The LINGA is Earthen here. So, ABHISHEKAM is not done with water, but with only Jasmine oil. Mother Goddess is Kamakshi.

JAMBUKESWAR - Lord in Jambukeswar (Tamilnadu) is JALA LINGA. Water continuously emanates from LINGA. Mother Goddess is Akhilandeswari.

SRIKALAHASTI - Lord Sri Kalahasteeswar (AP) is VAYU LINGA. Though the sanctum sanctorum of Lord doesn't have any windows at all, the oil lamps lit in GARBHA GUDI show the presence of air there with continuous flickering. Not even priests are allowed to touch the LINGA
here. Mother Goddess is SriGnanaPrasunamba.

CHIDAMBARAM - Lord Nataraja in Chidambaram (Tamilnadu) is AAKASA (SKY) LINGA. Void space is worshiped as AAKASA LINGA here (which is called CHIDAMBARA RAHASYAM). Mother Goddess is SivagamaSundari.

Bhadrachalam - Sri SitaRama Swamy temple

BHADRACHALAM has a lot of wonderful events jeweled in it's crown.

# After Sri Rama self-manifested on Bhadragiri and was worshiped for some years, during the course of time, the idols were covered naturally by large ant hills.

# During 17th century, Sri Rama appeared in the dream of a tribal lady called 'Dammakka' (considered to be incarnation of Bhakta Shabari) to let her know where the idols were present around Bhadragiri. Dammakka, after an exhaustive search, could find the idols. She installed them again in a temporary abode and started worshiping.

 # Then Kancherla Gopanna (Ramadasu), an ardent devotee of Rama, built the present temple in Bhadrachalam and standardized the method of worship.

# When Ramadasu wanted to install a CHAKRA on the temple GOPURAM, he couldn't get it made by any man. Later, as Ramadasu was advised in his dream by Lord Sri Rama, he got a Swayambhu CHAKRA to be installed on temple GOPURAM, through the streams of Godavari river.

# When Ramadasu was sentenced to jail by Hyderabad Nawab (Tanisha) for using Government's money to construct the temple, Lord Sri Rama along with Lakshmana came to Tanisha's MAHAL in
the disguise of common man, re-paid all the money and got Ramadasu released from jail.

 # After Ramadasu spent his life time in Bhadrachalam, he went to VAIKUNTAM in a golden chariot with his physical body - while the localites of Bhadrachalam village were witnessing with their eyes.

# KALYANAM of Sri Rama with Seeta Devi is celebrated everyday in this temple

# Along with Sri Ramadasu and Dammakka, Bhadrachalam is associated with many saint poets and ardent devotees like Toomu Narasimhadasu, Varada Ramadasu.

# At PARNASALA near Bhadrachalam, we can still see the place where Sri Rama lived, where THATAKI troubled Sri Rama, where Seeta Devi used to take bath and where Seeta Devi used to dry her saree.

 # YETAPAKA, a nearby village of Bhadrachalam, is where the wing of Vulture King JATAYU fell down while fighting with RAVANA (during the abduction of Seeta Devi).

Mother's day

Do I need to celebrate Mother's day once in a year ?

Every day, every minute and every second of life is filled with Amma's affection.

Mother Jogulamba

Mother Goddess Jogulamba of Alampur (my dear Mother who changed the path of my life completely) looks ferocious with an abnormal appearance.

With red eyes and loosened skin - she is depicted as sitting on a dead body. On her head, she has ...uncombed hair with a lizard, a scorpion, a bat and a skull on it.

The symbolic meaning of Mother Jogulamba's appearance is - "She is the protector who has command over life and death".

Within a house, if human beings don't stay at home, the number of lizards in that house tend to increase. This is the first phase of destruction for any house.

If a house is more deserted, scorpions tend to stay there. This is next phase of destruction for a house.

When bats start staying at a house, it means the house is completely abandoned and destroyed. No life could be found there."

Mother Goddess Jogulamba is an affectionate and powerful Goddess that she could save a home (and ofcourse, the people living in) from the clutches of untimely death and destruction.

SRI MATRE NAMAH !

Here are videos of SAHASRA KALASA ABHISHEKAM to Mother Goddess. Thanks a million to Bhakti TV who telecasted this and made available on the Net also. Otherwise, in no way I would be able to watch such precious moments live, as staying at Alampur to catch such early morning ritual might not be possible for people like me.

SUNDARAKANDA - a glory

SUNDARAKANDA - The part of 'Ramayana' where Lord Hanuman goes in search of Mother Sita, goes through a number of good & bad incidents, travels through moments of Hope & Despair, gets to see Mother Sita finally and bring the good news back to Lord Rama.

SUNDARAKANDA is those precious moments where Lord Rama and Mother Sita - after an unexpected mysterious separation - get to communicate with each other through Lord Hanuman. These are the moments of ecstasy and well-being for Lord Rama and Mother Sita. Lord Hanuman is the hero of this part of 'Ramayana'.

 SUNDARAKANDA - is nothing but,
the glory of initiation,
the glory of dedication,
the glory of perseverance,
the glory of physical & mental strength,
the glory of intelligence,
the glory of introspection,
the glory of Interpersonal Communication Skills,
the glory of moral values,
the glory of human emotions and
the glory of selfless act.

Even when looked from a materialistic perspective, wherever SUNDARAKANDA is recited / heard / talked about, PAIN and AGONY will disappear from that house.

The household would attract HAPINESS and CONTENTMENT. The people in the house are blessed with the best of everything in life.

SUNDARAKANDA - Spiritually

Apart from the materialistic point of view, SUNDARAKANDA is a wonderful part of Ramayana which depicts SPIRITUAL GROWTH of an aspirant (SADHAKA).

Swamy Hanuman is the Spiritual SADHAKA, who is in search of Mother Sita (self-realization).

Murali Bharadwaja Jandhyala's photo.
He crossed the ocean (with many hurdles and dangers that a SADHAKA may encounter during Spiritual journey), and while in the journey he came across different characters like Mountain Mainaaka (wanted to host Swamy Hanuman for sometime), Nagamata Surasa (wanted to test the intelligence of Hanuman), Daemon Simhika (wanted to swallow Hanuman) and Lankini (prevented Hanuman from entering LANKA). There could be many hurdles for the aspirant, which sometimes might look good, but might interrupt the Spiritual journey.

When an aspirant is half the way in the Spiritual journey - he/she might get fame / recognition / praise etc. If the aspirant can't attribute all that recognition to ALMIGHTY, the Spiritual journey gets
spoiled.

LANKA represents the body which is always in want of only worldly pleasures. RAKSHASA's in LANKA represent the dangerous traits of the SADHAKA which could be bottlenecks for Spiritual growth. RAVANA is the intelligence which is hindered by un-righteous lust.

Hanuman, illusioning Devi Mandodari as Mother Sita represents the state where a Spiritual aspirant gets a feeling that he/she reached the state of perfection whereas he/she hasn't really reached that state.

The emotional up and downs that Hanuman went through till finding Mother Sita, represent the lows and highs one crosses while going through the Spiritual path.

Swamy Hanuman finding Mother Sita is the state of self-realization (SIDHDHI). Once it is done, it automatically happens that the Soul (Mother Sita) gets united with PARABRAHMAN (Lord Rama).

The complete teachings of SANATANA DHARMA are embedded into this small divine master piece called 'SUNDARAKANDA'.
