Devipuram - Abode of Mother Sri Raja Rajeswari

DEVIPURAM - is one of the most wonderful and UNIQUE places on this Earth, where Mother Goddess made an abode for herself - by giving several visions in meditation to her dear son Guruji Sri Amrutananda Natha Saraswathi (Sri Nishtala Prahlada Sastry garu, who was formerly a University professor and nuclear Physicist).

 

 Devipuram is near Visakhapatnam, amidst scenic green hills, on the way from Anandapuram to Anakapalle. This place itself has been chosen by Mother Goddess for getting her temple built.

This temple is built in the form of SRI CHAKRA with all the Khadgamala Goddesses of life-size in the respective places of the CHAKRA and Sri SAHASRAKSHI RAJA RAJESWARI DEVI in the BINDU STHANA. This is considered to be the biggest man-made Sri Chakra on this Earth, as of today.

 

 

 There is also a SWAYAMBHU KAMAKHYA PEETHAM in Devipuram (Similar to the Maha Shaktipeetham Kamakhya of Assam, Guwahati).

This is a place where SRI VIDYA SADHANA, which is otherwise considered very very complex, has been brought very close to common people under the wonderful guidance of Guruji. This is where SATVIK SAKTHI SADHANA is practiced and many people are experiencing the affection of Mother Goddess Sri Kameswara Sameta Sahasrakshi Rajarajeswari Devi.

Devipuram Guruji

 

Sri Amrutanandanatha Saraswathi Swami - who was formerly known as Sri Nishtala Prahlada Sastry garu - is the founder of DEVIPURAM temple. Or may be I should say that, it is nothing but the SANKALPAM of Sri Raja Rajeswari Amma materialized through Guruji.

Accompanying Guruji in every step is Smt. Annapurnamba (affectionately being called as Amma by all disciples in Devipuram),who left behind all the luxurious life and perfectly followed her husband - in Guruji's journey from a Nuclear Scientist to the founder of Devipuram.

 

Mangalagiri - Kshetra Katha

MangalaGiri - is the abode of PANAKALA LAKSHMI NARSIMHA SWAMY. This is one of the DIVYADESAM's considered very sacred by Vaishnavites. Also, this is one of those 8 unique VAISHNAVA KSHETRAM's where Lord Vishnu is self-manifested. MangalaGiri is in between Vijayawada and Guntur cities.

Upper Mangalagiri has Sri PANAKALA LAKSHMI NARSIMHA SWAMY on an elephant shaped hill. This hill is said to be a devotee of Lord Vishnu, who performed severe penance to get Lord Vishnu self-manifested on him.

This temple exists right from KRITAYUGAM.

Also, this is the place where Lord Vishnu killed a daemon, Namuchi, who had a boon that he could be destroyed only using a weapon, which was neither wet nor dry.

'Sudarshana chakra' of Lord Vishnu had been dipped into the foam of ocean - Lord Vishnu manifested himself in the center of the 'Sudarshana Chakra' as Sri Narasimha and killed the daemon with the fire of his exhalation. So, Lord here is called 'Sudarshana Narasimha'.

Right from KRITAYUGAM till date, to keep Lord Narasimha cool, nectar / PANAKAM is being offered.

 Human beings are not allowed to stay beyond 4:00 PM in the Upper Mangalagiri temple. During the remaining hours of the day, Lord is trusted to be worshiped by RISHI's and DEVATHA's.

Slightly above the abode of Swamy Narasimha, Mother Goddess Rajya Lakshmi Devi self-manifested in a small cave.

Also, on the advise of Lord Rama during TRETAYUGAM before the completion of his RAMAVATAR, Lord Hanuman stayed back on Earth at this place.

 

Mangalagiri Panakala Swamy

There are a lot of wonderful things about Mangalagiri -

 

 # At the Upper Mangalagiri Swamy temple - there is a hole in the cave (at the GARBHA GUDI)- which has SWAYAMBHU SHANKU CHAKRA SALAGRAM's on both the sides of it's surface. This is covered with PANCHA LOHA mould of Sri Narasimha Swamy.

# People offer PANAKAM to Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Upper Mangalagiri. Priests pour PANAKAM into the mouth of Swamy's mould.

# While pouring the PANAKAM, liquid gulping sound of Swamy is clearly audible to the devotees.

# Regardless the size of the pot that any devotee takes the PANAKAM with, only half of it is accepted by Swamy. Other half would be given as PRASADAM back to the devotee.

# One of the relatives of local ZAMINDAR tried to test this (without devotion) and put his hand deep into the mouth of Lord Narasimha. His hand was wounded very badly as if a lion had eaten it.

# Upper Mangalagiri is full of sacred TEERTHAM's all over.

# At Upper Mangalagiri, near the temple of Goddess RajyaLakshmi Amma, there is a cave - through which RISHI's and DEVATHA's are believed to arrive at this temple and worship Swamy every evening.

# Prominent devotees / YOGI's like Sri Pada Vallabha Swamy (Avatar of Lord Dattatreya) and Sri Chaitanya Maha Prabhu, spent some days meditating at this temple.

# Lower Managalagiri temple was constructed during the time of PANDAVA's (DWAPARA YUGAM) and Swamy's idol had been consecrated by DHARMA RAJU.

# Lower Mangalagiri is very famous for it's architecturally delightful RAJAGOPURAM.

# The Conch (SHANKHU) which is being used in Lower Mangalagiri temple even today, is believed to have been used by Lord Sri Krishna.

దేవాలయ వ్యవస్థకి పెద్ద గుదిబండ

"శ్రీశైలం లో రుద్రాభిషేకం టికెట్ల ధర పెంచుతూ ఈవో ఆదేశాలు జారి చేశారు - అడ్వాన్సు బుకింగ్ టికెట్ ధర రూ. 1000 నుంచి రూ. 1500, కరెంటు బుకింగ్ టికెట్ ధర రూ. 600 నుంచి రూ. 1000 కి పెంచారు."

ఆర్ధిక పుష్టి ఉన్న ఆలయాల్లో కూడా ఇంకా ధరల పెంపు ఏమిటి ?

మన రాష్ట్రంలో దేవాదాయ శాఖ దేవాలయ వ్యవస్థకి పెద్ద గుదిబండ అయ్యింది. సామాన్యుడికి, పేదవాడికి ఇష్టమైన దేవుడిని దర్శించుకుని, తృప్తిగా సేవించుకునే అవకాశం - రోజు రోజుకి తగ్గిపోతోంది.

తక్కువ ఆదాయం వచ్చే గుడులని స్థానిక కమిటీలకు ఇస్తారట, మంచి ఆదాయం వచ్చే గుడులని దేవాదాయ శాఖ 'పాలనలో' ఉంచుతారట ! దేవాలయాల ఆస్తులు, ఆదాయాలపై ఎంత ఆపేక్ష ? దేవాలయాలలో రాజకీయ ప్రాబల్యం, అధికారుల జోక్యం ఎక్కువైతే దేవాలయ వ్యవస్థ ప్రయోజనమే పూర్తిగా దెబ్బ తింటుంది. ఇప్పటికే వ్యవస్థ స్వరూపం చాల వరకు మారిపోయింది.

సనాతన ధర్మాన్ని భ్రష్టు పట్టించడంలో తిలా పాపం తలా పిడికెడు. ఎవరో మత మార్పిడులని చేస్తున్నారని ఆక్షేపించే ముందు - జన్మతః హిందూ ధర్మంలో ఉన్న పేద వాళ్ళని, సామాన్యులని మనమే దేవాలయ వ్యవస్థ కి దూరం చేస్తున్నామని గమనించాలి.

దైవ దర్శనంలో తర తమ బేధాలు లేని, ఆడంబరాలు లేని, డబ్బు ప్రసక్తి లేని - చిలుకూరు శ్రీ వెంకటేశ్వర స్వామి ఆలయంలో ఉన్న విధానం - రాష్ట్రం మొత్తం రావాలి. గుడికి కానుకలు ఇవ్వదలుచుకున్న భక్తులకి వేరే ఏర్పాటు ఉండాలి.

రాబోయే తరాలకి అసలు దేవాలయ వ్యవస్థ ఉద్దేశ్యాన్ని సక్రమంగా తెలియజేయాలి అంటే - ఒక పెద్ద ఉద్యమమే రావాలి.

 

Jambukeswar

Jambukeswar is one of the PANCHA-BHOOTA (five elements - Earth, Air, Water, Sky and Wind) LINGA, representing water. Water emanates continuously from the bottom of the SIVA LINGA here. This place is very much nearer to the famous VAISHNAVA DIVYA DESAM, Sri Rangam (Tiruchirapalli). Mother Goddess is AKHILANDESWARI AMMAN here. 

 Jambukeswar is the place where Mother Goddess Parvathi performed penance on Lord Siva, descending to Earth from Kailasa and making a SIVA LINGA out of water. Lord Siva appeared in front of the Goddess and gave MANTROPADESAM (Siva Gnana). Lord Jambukeswarar and Goddess Akhilandeswari represent GURU-SISHYA relationship here. So, no traditional KALYANAM is performed here for Lord and Goddess.



 This is the place where an elephant and a spider were granted salvation by Lord Siva, who was extremely touched by their devotion towards him.

Also, the temple construction itself is an architectural splendor. This temple was built in such a way that no elephant (not even a baby elephant) could enter the temple.



 Jagadguru Sri Adi Sankaracharya, when visited this temple, identified that Goddess Akhilandeswari's idol is very powerful that no human in future could withstand that energy during worship. He absorbed all that energy into Ear Rings (Studs) and decorated them to the Goddess herself.

Cleaning of Mother Goddess's Ear Rings here is itself a defined traditional process, which is to be done with utmost care, dedication, devotion and perfection. This UTSAV is performed occasionally only by KAMAKOTI MATHAM from Kancheepuram.
