Especially there are certain things which are said to be the places where Mother Adi Parashakti dwells. They should be used with care and they should never be touched with feet under any circumstances. THEY SHOULD BE GIVEN DUE RESPECT.
They are - Indian Palm Leaf (THAATI AAKU), common salt, Lotus flower and Bilwa leaf (MAAREDU AAKU).
It's a regular practice in most of the remote villages of South India that women wear thorns of these Indian Palm leaves as 'ear rings' (95% of the cases, it's due to poverty that they couldn't afford golden ear rings).
Next time when we happen to see such a girl / woman wearing Palm Leaf's Thorns as 'ear ring', we may not look at them as poor & ignorant, but we should open our eyes to see the Mother Goddess in them.
