# As part of marriage, the wedded couple should get the blessings of all the elderly couples and devoted elders present in the marriage venue. It gives great strength to the marital life of the bride and the bride-groom.

# During the marriage, mother of the bride gives gifts to her son-in-law, just 'to confirm her motherly affection' to her dear daughter's husband (this has now adversely taken the shape of Dowry and gifts, involving lakhs of rupees).

# A married couple has two major responsibilities - 1) having kids and nurturing them as good

citizens in the society, 2) leading a happy married life and moving towards self-realization together.
