Smt. Suri Nagamma should be given due respect for the greatest of benefits she gave to the mankind. Her "Letters from Ramanasram" had been a great literary work which got translated into different languages in the world - to serve all thos...e who truly wanted to know the life & teachings of Raman Maharshi (Arunachalam / Tiruvannamalai).
People have a wrong notion that any Philosophical Guru should give discourses and show miracles. People approach Guru for materialistic benefits. A truly matured SADHAKA, when reaching greater heights of yoga, might acquire 'so-called' miraculous powers (yes, VEDIC scriptures have scientific methods). But they neither bother about them nor use them. Raman Maharshi is such a great soul.
Raman Maharshi used to be very humble, simple and used to teach his disciples mostly through SILENCE. He used to talk only few words.
Ramana Maharshi's life and teachings would not have been this wide-spread to common people, if Smt. Suri Nagamma didn't note them down in real-time and sent to her brother in the form of daily

An ill-fated widow from a traditional family who got married at an age of 11, lost her husband at an age of 12 and spent most of her beginning years of life only weeping in a dark room, finally reached Ramana Maharshi's ASRAM and turned out to be a real disciple of Ramana Maharshi. She got the real essence of Ramana Maharshi's teachings and presented them to this world (through her letters to her brother).
